Inspiring Change
Corals4Kids is a step toward inclusive environmental education for all learners. The design of this website was built to allow for inclusive learning for students struggling with comprehension by including many different learning styles and education strategies which allowed access to students. I hope this website allows educators and families to bridge the gap between their students and the oceans that need our help. I thank you for stopping by and I hope you can impact student's lives and make that connection between an amazing ecosystem and the organisms that live there.

Meet the Educator
Hello everyone! My name is Emma Grund and I am the creator and educator behind Corals4Kids! The reason I wanted to create Corals4Kids was to provide access to students who struggled with comprehension of text to learn about coral reefs and their inhabitants. Many different resources today regarding the education of environmental topics and ecosystems are often meant for students who are at grade level and/or for very young students. I worked with middle school students for 2 years during the COVID-19 pandemic and saw that many of these students did not have access to a resource that was age-level appropriate and reading-level-appropriate for the student. With a passion for the oceans and several years of experience in educating students with low comprehension skills, Corals4Kids was born. Now, Corals4Kids is something that I hope will continue to expand into the future and that will feature more additions and modifications that will provide further inclusion of more learners.
